Frequently asked questions
WHAT IS LIP BLUSH?
Our Lip Blush Treatment is a cosmetic procedure that enhances the natural colour and shape of your lips. It involves depositing pigment into the upper layers of the lips using a fine, mechanised needle. There is a wide selection of pigment colours we offer that are available to help enhance the natural lip colour as well as suit your desired preferred result.
WHAT IS THE HEALING PHASE FOR LIP BLUSH?
The healing phase for lip blush generally includes:
1. Days 1-3: Swelling and tenderness; lips may appear darker.
2. Days 4-7: Peeling and flaking as the skin regenerates.
3. Weeks 2-4: Colour may look faded as it settles.
4. Weeks 4-6: Final colour becomes apparent; lips should be healed.
Follow aftercare instructions carefully for the best results!
CAN I GET LIP FILLERS WHILE HAVING LIP BLUSH?
Yes ofcourse! It's generally recommended to get lip fillers after lip blush. This way, the colour can be applied to the natural lip shape, and any swelling from fillers won't affect the final appearance of the lip blush.
If you prefer to get fillers first, wait at least two weeks after the filler treatment before doing the lip blush to allow for any swelling to subside and to ensure the final result looks as intended.
LIP BLUSH AFTERCARE

4. Skip Certain Foods: Avoid spicy and acidic foods for a week.
5. No Makeup: Don’t apply lip makeup for at least a week.
6. Sun Protection: Keep lips out of direct sunlight.
CAN I GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE A HISTORY OF COLD SORES?
Yes, you can get lip blush if you have a history of cold sores, but it's important to take precautions. Cold sores can flare up due to trauma or irritation, which can happen during the procedure.
It's advisable to consult with us and your healthcare provider beforehand. It is recommended to take antiviral medication (like acyclovir) to minimise the risk of an outbreak during the healing process.
